The lower level great room is a MASSIVE space, particularly for a lower level. With 12 foot ceilings and an almost identical square footage to the main floor great room, it's essentially a second little home down there!

With the open floor plan and super high ceilings, this area feels deceivingly large. While we didn't have tons of space for furniture here, I did want to create a beautiful first impression as well as make this hard working area super functional for my clients:

Last week I headed to Grand Rapids for a Design in a Day session focused on a living room space. My clients had recently recently moved into this new home and had already done quite a bit of work on the house. Previous to moving in, the house had many, many awkward built-ins, lots of wallpaper that needed to be removed, and a few other quirky elements that the couple had already begun to tackle.

This week I visited some clients just a few blocks from my old house in Grand Rapids, Michigan!
