There's no one-size-fits-all to how we bring a space together to meet the needs of a specific household (20+ dining areas to stoke your imagination)

If there's one thing I've learned in my over a decade of designing homes with clients, it's that every single home is different, every family is unique, and there's no one-size-fits-all to how we bring a space together to meet the needs of a specific household.
To begin to illustrate this idea, I've gathered 20+ LFID photographs (mostly taken by Alyssa Wagner) of what seems like a fairly straightforward category of space—a dining area—to show how varied homes can be. From formal dining rooms to island bar seating, and open concept great rooms to seperated eat-in kitchens, there's no end to the variety of home and living styles!
Below you'll see high-end custom designs and low-budget marketplace spaces alike. Some feel refined and polished and others eclectic and cozy. You might resonate with one and hate another. That's the beauty of designing your home based on your SELF and your personal values: it really doesn't matter if anyone else resonates with your space, so long as YOU love it and it supports your unique needs, that's what matters 💖
Happy scrolling!
XOXO, Lauren
